The Hive Day Program
Our Mission
Our mission at The Hive Day Program is to empower adults with disabilities through life skills training, vocational opportunities, and community inclusion. We provide a supportive, vibrant environment that nurtures self-confidence, promotes independence, and celebrates every individual’s potential.
Our Vision
Our vision is a future where all individuals with disabilities are fully included in their communities and have access to the life skills, vocational training, and resources needed to live meaningful, independent lives.

Our Story
Founded in 2023, with roots dating back to 2021, The Hive Day Program was born out of a vision to create meaningful opportunities for adults with disabilities. What began as a small initiative through Bee You Therapy quickly revealed a much greater community need for a safe, engaging place where teens and adults could continue learning, building life skills, and connecting beyond school services.
The Hive has since grown into a thriving 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the Mokena, IL community and surrounding areas. Our program is led by occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and experienced educators who believe that every individual deserves access to the tools and support needed to live with confidence and independence.
From vocational training and community outings to social connection and life skills practice, The Hive Day Program is more than a service, it’s a community where members are seen, valued, and celebrated.
